Your site visitors will be able to make product selections from dynamically generated pages that display your inventory items in your chosen format. Because WebStorePOS™ is integrated with your Windward System Five records – the inventory items displayed are based on up to date inventory balances and pricing that have come directly from your System Five records – increasing accuracy and reducing errors.

Once an individual item has been selected by the visitor – a new page showing the item in greater detail is presented along with pricing information and a simple entry box to enter the number of items the visitor is interested in purchasing and wants added to their Shopping Cart. The visitor is free to return to the main website to make further selections – or to go straight to the checkout process. 

At the beginning of the checkout process – the visitor is asked to sign in using their existing customer account or to set up a new account. The customer is then asked to confirm their shipping information (this is in case the shipping address is different from the billing address). Then the customer is shown the details of their order including taxes and shipping costs and asked to provide credit card information. Once credit card information is entered, a printable version of the order invoice appears and the customer is encouraged to either save it or print it out for their records.

It is at this point that the full power of the integration of Windward’s WebStorePOS™ e-Commerce and System Five can be seen.

The customer website orders wait until you are ready to approve them. From within System Five the Web Sales orders are imported from WebStorePOS™ and reviewed for authorization. This step allows you to remain in total control of your sales.

When an order is authorized (one click of the Authorize button):

The credit card transaction is automatically submitted to the credit card company

If the credit card transaction is approved:

• An e-mail is automatically sent to the client advising them that their order has been processed

• The order inventory items are automatically removed from inventory

• A pick list is automatically printed for shipping

• All the accounting related entries are automatically made

If the credit card transaction is rejected the administrator has the option of resubmitting the transaction to the credit card company (a click of a button) or of letting the system
automatically notify the customer by e-mail that their credit card did not clear.

That’s it. You do not need to make any additional entries or re-enter information – the entire process is automated (yet your retain control over transactions).
