Mercury Payment Systems' Stand In Service
Did you know that Windward partner Mercury Payment Systems processing offers "Stand In" service?
As far as we know this is the only payment processor who is willing to offer this protection. If for any reason the
link to your credit card / bank processor is lost, Mercury will provide you an authorization code for transactions
during that time. If after the connection is re-established and it turns out that the card should have been declined,
then Mercury will "stand in" and pay for the transaction in question. You don't even know that the connection was lost
and can keep the lineups in your store moving.
In one recent 13 minute span Mercury processed 1.3 billion dollars worth
of transactions and "stood in" for $40,000 dollars of declines for their merchants.
