Windward Software Training

When it comes to implementing a new business management system, Windward Software recognizes the significant role implementation, training and support play in its success: the effectiveness of a software solution is largely determined by the expertise of its trainers and implementers.

Getting off to a good start is critical. Windward knows that a complete and thorough implementation is essential for success and quicker realization of ROI. Thus, we follow a comprehensive methodology to make sure customers get the necessary implementation services based on their business environment.

Experienced trainers guide customers through the whole process – from reviewing business processes to testing the application and providing user training – all with the goal of ensuring a smooth 'go live' date.

Windward Software offers a host of training services that meet the educational needs of virtually every organization, and whether for a new employee or seasoned users that want to refresh their skills -- we have something for everyone. These services include standard telephone training, webinar sessions, and customized on-site training.

Standard Training
The majority of our training is done via telephone, where our computer connects to your computer over the internet, so both you and our trainer can see what is on your screen. At the same time our trainer will be talking with you on the telephone to guide you through the process.

We can then show you how to perform tasks by controlling your mouse and keyboard, or watch and assist you in completing the steps. The lessons can be scheduled in several one to two-hour sessions so that you receive the training you need when you need it, instead of training you in advance and hoping you remember what you learned. For example, you may not perform a month-end procedure until you have loaded up the system, started work, and reached your first month-end. Our trainer can guide you through the process at this time, so you will thoroughly understand it and learn it for the next time.



Webinar Training Sessions
Windward Software is pleased to bring you training for Windward System Five via the internet. Webinars are the perfect way to attend training sessions over the internet while not incurring the expenses associated with traveling to a regional classroom.

Onsite Training

Our training team recognizes the significant role that proper implementation, training, and support can play during the long-term success of your company. We have specially designed Training Packages that can provide the on-site training needed to get you started with our products. The level in which the software will perform is directly proportional on how you prepare, implement and configure the software.

Get away from the interruptions and the telephone that won't stop ringing in your office, you can come to our head office in beautiful British Columbia, Canada for classroom training. Don't bother bringing apples for the teacher, we have plenty of orchards here!

Technical Support Technical support is different from training, because with technical support, the calls are normally short to solve a specific problem. Windward has many support technicians dedicated to the job in addition to several programmers and trainers. If your system is down, and it’s an emergency, we’ll pull out all the stops to ensure you get the support you need.

Like the training modules, we use PC Anywhere to connect to your computer over the internet or phone line, so that we can see your computer and view the problem directly so it can be fixed quickly. Anything that might need adjusting with our software can be fixed long distance, through remote access, so we can ensure a high quality of support.



System Updates
At Windward Software, we value customer input and work hard every day to take customer suggestions and incorporate them into the system. After 22 years of improvements, we are still surprised at the ideas our customers have, which continually make the program even better. These updates are available to you over the internet for easy downloading and updating.

Updates are included at no extra charge for the first year, after which there is a charge of 12.5% of the current software price to keep the system up-to-date. Pre payment and multiple year discounts are available.
