Form and Invoice Layouts | Point of Sale Overview

One of the most important aspects of a Point of Sale system is the look and feel of the printed invoice, as this is what your customer sees. With Windward System Five, you can totally control the invoice layout with our easy to use Form Files.

The Form Files allow you to define how and where to print the invoice data. Note that the items inside the brackets <> are field variables, and will draw on the data from the invoice and place that value on the invoice. For example, <C.NAME> will print the customer name in that location. Items not inside the brackets will print as shown, such as the labels for invoice, date, type, clerk, purchase order number, and page number. To edit the form file, you can use the EDIT command included with your operating system.
